So you want to pass your SRC Radio Operators examination! By studying this
CD and some practical knowledge of the Class D DSC radio, you should have no problem. I do stress however, before purchasing
a VHF/DSC radio pay a visit to a specialist shop. Try out the different types of sets and buy one YOU are happy with. Don't
forget to make sure your new set will fit into the space allocated in your "navigation area" on your boat! One of the things
you must learn "off by heart" is the phonetic alphabet, the VHF Frequencies however don't! You will find details of the phonetic
alphabet on this site. You could also buy the CD, which is written and produce by the International Yachtmaster Academy, who
are also famous for their navigation correspondences for the RYA courses.
